HodlGuide is an independent crypto review site. We publish hands-on guides and comparisons covering hardware wallets, software wallets and cryptocurrency exchanges – how to set them up, what they cost, and how they handle security.
How we review
Every review starts with the product itself. For wallets, we work through the full setup flow – initialisation, seed backup, firmware updates and a test transaction – and check the vendor’s published security documentation (secure element certifications, open-source status, disclosure history). For exchanges, we verify fee schedules against the exchange’s own published pricing, check regulatory registrations where applicable, and review each platform’s security track record, including past incidents and how they were handled.
We link to primary sources – manufacturer documentation, official fee pages and security disclosures – so you can verify any claim we make.
How we make money
Some links on HodlGuide are affiliate links. If you buy a wallet or sign up to an exchange through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partnerships never determine our verdicts: we say so plainly when a product has problems, and we recommend the option we would use ourselves.
What we are not
We are not financial advisors, and nothing on this site is investment advice. We review tools for storing and trading cryptocurrency; whether and how much to invest is your decision alone. Crypto assets are volatile and self-custody carries real responsibility – our job is to help you handle that responsibility with the right tools.
Ownership
HodlGuide is owned and published by Capital Asset Management Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong (Company Registration No. 0567485).
